About the event

The Lewis and Clark Pass hike is offered in coordination with Lincoln’s Art and Music Festival.

The event features a trail hike of  4 miles out and back or a 11 mile loop beginning from the Alice Creek Trailhead, located approximately 8 miles down Alice Creek Road. Alice Creek Road is located approximately 9 miles east of Lincoln.

Hikers will begin on Trail #493 and ascend approximately 2 miles up to Lewis and Clark Pass where a presentation concerning Lewis Clarks history in this area will be offered.   Those doing the 4 mile hike will then return to the Trailhead using the same route.  Those wishing to hike the 11 mile option will turn left on Trail # 440, and continue climbing 2 miles to lesser Red Mountain and then following the Montana Trail 406 for 2.5 miles until it intersects with the Alice Creek Trail #490, where runners will turn left and descend 4.5 miles back to the trailhead.

Both hikes will have a guide.  Bear spray is recommended and bring plenty of water as it may be warm.
